I'm in awe of Diane Saxon. This story's complexities are breathtaking. I haven't read a cleverly written book like this one in ages. 

When Siobhan discovers her mother, Grace, has lied to her, her curiosity leads her down a dangerous path. 
The characters are easy to understand, and the descriptions are written perfectly. I'm sure Saxon got an A-star in English. 

This fast-paced thriller will have you on the edge of your seat until the last page.

I loved the parallel story telling, I felt the plot twists were all well disguised. Bullying in the workplace was well covered. Without giving too much away, I like the way family history was entwined in the story.

if only she was braver and had a loving mother Grace would have known what to do. but missing out on such a person, she did what any other person would do and that is to show her love for another child

Loved the narrator, really drew me in straight away. Beautifully told and very hard to put down. Gripping, edge of your seat stuff, and a free listen too, amazing!!

I love the way Diane Saxon builds the tension & suspense in this story, until the reader is almost bursting with anticipation. Although I guessed parts of the story, I didn’t expect that ending.
Highly recommend this psychological thriller novel.
