Summary

This book is a means to diagnose, anticipate and address new cyber risks and vulnerabilities while building a secure digital environment inside and around businesses. It empowers decision makers to apply a human-centred vision and a behavioural approach to cyber security problems in order to detect risks and effectively communicate them.

The authors bring together leading experts in the field to build a step-by-step toolkit on how to embed human values into the design of safe human-cyber spaces in the new digital economy. They artfully translate cutting-edge behavioural science and artificial intelligence research into practical insights for business.

As well as providing executives, risk assessment analysts and practitioners with practical guidance on navigating cyber risks within their organisations, this book will help policy makers better understand the complexity of business decision-making in the digital age.

Step by step, Pogrebna and Skilton show you how to anticipate and diagnose new threats to your business from advanced and AI-driven cyber-attacks.

unconventional and thought-provoking

have you ever had a thought why despite all our efforts in cybersecurity we continue to feel the pinch? why all our mantras about compliance and frameworks, new-gen of this and that, all the "basics" talks, etc - simply did not work? perhaps, because we were trying to solve the wrong problem! people, not machines, cause the harm - therefore the solution to the cyber problem will unlikely lie in the technology domain. get the book and learn what you have missed trying to solve the problems you have in cyber!

Just a perfect book for a broad audience!

When I started listening too this book, I thought it will be too hard as I am not from the cyber security field. Yet, I was surprised by how the authors managed to organize the information: starting from basics and an overview and diving deeper into specific solutions, cases, and best practices. Although initially I just wanted to learn something new, I finished by changing my behaviour and developing a set of cyber attack prevention measures for my university. Whether you are a professional or a newbie, this book is for you. (Hint: listen in small pieces and note ideas. The book is very informative, and for me it was hard to remember all details after listening the whole chapter in one shot). Enjoy!
