Falling for your best friend is hard.

My third story by Lily Craig and not up to the others. I could not empathise with Madelyn who I thought was naive and self obsessed. I was actually hoping that Georgia would see the light and head for the hills. Just as well the title was "included" in membership of I don't think I would have finished .
Emily Beresford's narration did not help in this story.

This novel focuses almost entirely on the 2 main characters and their friendship- one who is vocal but slow to understand and the other quick to understand but slow to vocalise.

The book might have been ok, but I just couldn’t get past the narration. It was like something you would hear from a 60 year old not a couple of 20 year olds. Had to quit after an hour ☹️

Story was very predictable with no character growth or real depth. Didn't get emotionally wrapped up in either main characters. There were plenty of missed opportunities to add more interest.

Honestly, I have listened to many books amd this is one of the worst narrators I have come across. Tone, pitch and pace was a complete miss. Over excited in some places spoilt the mood of what the author was probably intending. Its difficult to know whether my lack of enjoyment of this book was more associated with the big miss on the narration than anything else.
