About this listen

The eagerly anticipated new novel from the worldwide number one best-selling author behind the Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning HBO series Big Little Lies.

Could 10 days at a health resort really change you forever? Nine perfect strangers are about to find out....

The 10-day retreat at boutique health-and-wellness resort Tranquillum House promises healing and transformation. Nine stressed city dwellers are keen to drop their literal and mental baggage and absorb the blissful meditative ambiance while enjoying their hot stone massages. They are all on a path to a better way of living. Or at least a better waistline....

Watching over them is the resort's director, a woman on a mission to reinvigorate these tired bodies and minds. But to what lengths will she go to achieve her goal?

These nine perfect strangers have no idea what's about to hit them.

great

This is a winning duo Liane Moriarty and Caroline Lee. And this new book is no exeption. Liane Moriarty knows things about human soul that not every writer knows and she puts it in words beautifully. And Caroline Lee reads like nobody else. This audiobook is a rare treat.

OK

Would have enjoyed more with another voice actor, was too high pitched for me to be able to enjoy the story.

Not as good as other Moriarty books

This started off well, however I found it loose and waffly in places and could have been edited down by at least 20%. Also the story became less and less credible to the point I was starting to lose interest. Shame as I’ve loved all her previous books.

Not her best work

I really like Lianne Moriarty books but this one, although enjoyable, wasn't my favourite one of hers. The husband's secret is better.

Outstanding

I absolutely loved the narrator Caroline Lee, she totally swiped the story off the page and painted verbal pictures beautifully. The story has so many twists and turns and kept things interesting right until the end. Liane Moriarty is now definitely on my favourite author list. I highly recommend this book.

Memorable

I have read all books by Liane Moriarty and I’m a great fan of her work. This book is not in her usual style but I absolutely loved it. She created fantastic characters and I really love Marsha’s character. It’s a captivating and interesting book that touched me deep inside. Very thought-provoking but easy to listen to. The narration is absolutely outstanding, excellent voices and accents. I hugely enjoyed this book. Thank you

Great characters, good plot, humour has an edge

This book was a bit of a statement on the world, I liked it a lot. The accent is very strong though.
