Outstanding
The view that we have depends upon where we sit! Hitchens as ever looks for the truth and provides the story behind the story, corruption to some is seen as a means to an end, exposing such behaviour hopefully will one day discourage others from this course, Unfortunately the reality is that within the circles of power they all follow the money, some worse than others!

slightly outdated but a good insight into clinton
UK 98' baby, so feels a bit older to me than some, still gives a good idea of the politics of the time and explains a lot of the anti Clinton sentiment seen during the 2016 election. hitchens as always a missed treasure.

A real eye opener
As a previous fan of the Clintons, this book has thoroughly demolished what I once thought to be true. Even if only some of it is true, it casts both Bill and Hilary in a whole new light. It also goes some way to explain why Hilary lost to Trump.

A very interesting book and relevant now.

Yes, because I would need to hear the details again in order to understand the argument.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I found some aspects of these events made me angry, and sorry that justice was probably never done. Also it made me re-appraise my views on BOTH the Clintons, and their entourage.

Great book - slightly soporific reading!

Not the best book for listening to on the move!

It's a very detailed argument with lots of new information being introduced rapidly, it requires you to concentrate to keep up or you have to keep going back.

Was there a rapist in the Whitehouse?
Bill Clinton continues to be one of the USA's most popular Presidents. However, Hitchens suggests that behind the facade Clinton was a sexual predator who was prepared to use air-strikes on innocent targets in order to deflect attention from his sexual and financial scandals. This is a well-argued, well-evidenced book that strips away the handsome Rhode scholar image and allows the reader to see the rancid underbelly of a manipulative, bullying, self-fixated individual.

Brilliant and revelatory
Never less than a pleasure to hear such brilliant writing. Interesting that, on investigation, so many successful politicians are found to be corrupt, and sad that we are so easily taken in.
