About this listen
"When the first bullet hit my chest, I thought of my daughter."
Dr Marc Seidman is living in New Jersey with his new wife, Monica, and their baby daughter, Tara, when the shocking attack occurs. When he wakes in the hospital, he learns that Monica is dead, and Tara is missing from her crib.
For two weeks there is no word. Then a ransom demand is made for Tara's return. But Marc makes a mistake.
Something goes terribly wrong during the money drop. The ransom vanishes. The kidnappers get away.
Days turn to weeks as Marc remembers the ransom note's ominous warning: THERE WILL BE NO SECOND CHANCE. The police, believing that Tara is probably dead, start to move on.
Eighteen months pass. And then, when Marc has just about given up all hope of seeing his daughter again, he gets a package with a chilling note attached: WANT A SECOND CHANCE? And inside the package the kidnapper provides proof that Tara is still alive.

Narration at times unsympathetic to the characters snarky snarly voices and less convincing women. An awful lot if characters to hang on to and many guns!
Wickedly complex tremendously exciting

Again I'm not a spoiler so your going to have to read it to be sure all my plaudits are accurate.
The story is very engaging, dramatic and sold searching. It makes you think about subjects that you might feel a broad range of emotions. A "What would I do in that situation?"
The narration was great, the variety of characters Tim was portraying quite diverse. He manages to slide indirect humour into parts that like accents and dialects. Good stuff. Enjoy your book.x
Another great, immersive experience.
