Enjoyable listen , the plot unfolds with a good storyline , characters are believable , I will certainly buy more if Fiona O' briens books, I enjoyed the narrators accents too

What did you like best about this story?

There are lots of characters, all written beautifully. I felt that I knew them all. Despite being an easy, gentle listen/read, this is an intelligent tale and not predictable.

Any additional comments?

I love this author. Her novels are perfect for a lighter book, but not so light as to be trash. Quite the contrary, she writes really well, building up her characters well and never rambling.

Different from what I expected, and I really enjoyed this listen. Gerri Halligan is a great reader. This story is interesting and fun, again I will re-listen shortly.

Well developed characters and decent plot, if a bit fantastical. Nicely narrated but the spaces between sentences were very off putting at times. If you're looking for a fun holiday listen you've found it.

I was rather disappointed with this book. It started really well, maybe a little slow but good. I was especially pleased with the development in Carrie and was therefore extremely disappointed by the end of the book.
Some books I know I will listen to again but, sadly, this is not one of them.

Unfortunately I don't like books about pretentious millionaires.
Too much talk of beautiful people, supermodel daughters and luxury yachts for me. I prefer books about real people and the characters in this book were lacking in the believability factor.
Some people like this stuff but it's not for me!
