Summary
Ethan,
About last night.... I could blame the bourbon. I could say I let things get out of hand, that I should have never called you, but I'm done lying to myself - to you. I know what you're going to say. You're not very good at keeping your opinions to yourself, but this can't happen. It's inappropriate, at best. I'm your boss. Not to mention, you're clearly still hung up on him. I'm not a consolation prize.
Anders~
Anders,
You didn't think it was inappropriate when you had your tongue down my throat, but I digress. As for your accusation, I'm not the only one stuck in the past, but at least I'm not running from it. I can't believe I'm about to say this.... Maybe you're right. You shouldn't have called me. Especially if you never intended to own it. Own that you wanted it to happen. Admit that you wanted me.
Not so sincerely, Yours

Another Amanda story, another winner....
I enjoyed this one, and even Aaron Shedlock is growing on me although he is very quiet sometimes. There were quite a few errors, the funniest one for me being Kirt saying stranglers instead of stragglers, so not sure who had the job of checking the audio but they were obviously not that much better than the original proofreaders for the story itself. Rating remains at 4.5 stars.
***Book Review***
4.5 stars rounded up, and my word of the day would be heartwarming Something that is heartwarming causes you to feel happy, usually because something nice has happened to people.
I wasn't sure how these two would work I have to say...Ethan would surely be too downmarket, too unrefined, too 'normal' for someone as cultured, elegant and up-market as Anders, but you know what they say about sweeping generalisations 😉, oh and let's not forget about opposites attract 😊.
In Love Always, Wild, I thought Wilder treated Anders appallingly, casually relegating him to a 'friend with benefits', and completely disregarding the fact that he broke Anders heart. Yes, we all know that Wild is something of a diva and a drama queen [talk about high maintenance, phew!!], but I hate people who treat/use others as doormats. In that same story, Ethan was also treated as a bit of a doormat by Jax it has to be said...not in a sexual way at all, but as a friend who could always be relied upon to do things for you...he was just too willing to help in any way. The last we saw of Ethan he was riding off into the sunset [OK, not riding per se but Colorado 😏] with Chance to live his own HEA life...or not.
I was SO delighted that these two could see past each other's unhappy backgrounds, did not let the fact that love had already kicked them in the teeth several times stop them from starting a tentative friendship, even though I suspect Anders was far from happy that Ethan just waltzed right into his business and treated him as just another human being, instead of his boss. I ADORED the emails they exchanged, and their 'Word of the Day' thing just got to me big time. They both richly deserved a HEA, and it was nice to catch-up with Jax, Wild and Jason again too.
A minor niggle...was a little surprised by the number of typos I have to say. There were a few missing words too, and to pore over a manuscript is just that PORE not pour...please take note ALLUSION PUBLISHING AND PAYNE PROOFING.

Another brilliant book from A M Johnson. Loved the daily emails between Ethan and Anders it was nice to see how the love grew between these two who were total opposites who were very attracted to each other Ethan was totally down to earth for Anders and totally not his type too out spoken for him It was nice to catch up with Jax Wilder & Jason even though Wilder is a total diva felt sorry for Ander in Book 1 felt Wilder used him a trying to forget jax.
