About this listen

A riveting psychological thriller!

The strongest lies aren’t the ones we tell others—they’re the ones we tell ourselves.

I thought I'd found my fairy tale ending when Andrew Chadwick saved my life during a hotel fire and gave me a whirlwind love story I didn’t think existed. But trusting him made me vulnerable, and believing in the impossible made me an easy target.

Six months later, we're celebrating our dream wedding at an exclusive island resort, where every luxury imaginable is at our fingertips. It should be perfect. It should be paradise. But it's not.

Trust is a fragile thing, and as cracks begin to form in our perfect life, I realize I might not know my new husband at all. The man I trusted with my heart is keeping dangerous secrets—and the closer I get to unraveling them, the more I realize it's not just my heart at risk…it's my life.

From #1 New York Times Bestselling Author Barbara Freethy comes a pulse-pounding psychological thriller about deception, dark secrets, and the danger of trusting the wrong person. NOTHING BREAKS LIKE A HEART is perfect for listeners who love domestic suspense and twisted mysteries!

Fabulous book

What an exciting and thrilling story. There are so many twists and turns you were never quite sure why this Author would take you next. I did begin to suss out some of the things but not everything and it was an exciting book to read never knowing what was coming next.. The audible narration was absolutely fabulous.

Not bad but Not great

Narration was irritating, too much repetition, the main character was too confused about clear things. Story was interesting and I really wanted to know what happened but had to endure the narrator to get through it. I admit it took me way to long to complete this each time bracing myself for the hypernasality.

repetitive childish nonsense!

this was painful, thank goodness it was free. The narrator made the childish language and behaviour of the heroine even more painful. she didn't want her husband to be to see that she had seen him with another woman "staring because it would be embarrassing". The language was limited, the plot utterly absurd. The main character was irritating, vacant, just don't waste your time

Terrible Narration

The narrator spoiled the whole story.
If you enjoy the typical LA Kardashian slurred type accent you’ll love this.
Otherwise avoid at all costs. It will drive you nuts.
Would’ve been much better with a different narrator with a better voice.
She said.
He said.
