Summary
An ordinary couple find themselves entangled in a web of lies and guilt, when they accidentally hit a young girl on a stormy night. Choosing to conceal the tragic incident, their secret becomes a ticking time bomb threatening to destroy their lives.
DCI Anna Moore looks into Daisy's sudden disappearance, and her investigation leads her to Oak Street, where some of the residents are hiding dark secrets behind their outwardly suburban lives.
As Anna inches closer to unveiling the truth, the couple's guilt grows, fueling their paranoia and leading to catastrophic consequences.
Will she expose the sinister secrets hidden behind closed doors, or will the truth be buried forever?
One Blue Shoe is a heart-stopping thriller that will leave listeners questioning just how far they would go to protect their own secret.

Thrilling ride!
This is a crime story with lots going on. The main story starts with a couple accidentally hitting a girl in their car and making a decision that causes havoc in their everyday life! Bring in the noisy Neighbours and the fact that another girl is missing and you have yourself a web of deceit!
I really enjoyed it and finished it in a day, An excellent performance from the narrator - Grant Love - brings the story to life and really pulls you in. Would totally recommend!!

Dark and Compelling
On the drive home from a night out one night Chris and Julie accidentally hit a girl and kill her. They immediately decide to cover up what they have done. However in the aftermath, their marriage, already on the rocks, their lives spiral into a whirlpool of fear, paranoia and distrust.
Detective Anna Moore is already investigating the separate disappearance of another girl but the two cases soon become inexplicably linked and it’s only a matter of time before the detective’s path crosses with Chris and Julie’s. Add in nosy neighbours, sketchy teachers and teenage car jackers and you have a recipe for a deliciously dark detective thriller. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this and it was made all the more enjoyable by the narrator’s accent. He really brought it to life especially with some of the language used in the book. In a Scottish accent it made me chuckle in places.

Another 5 star listen.
This is a most entertaining listen from start to finish. It is dark and deep in places with a lot of emotional twists and turns. Good characters and a good plot along with Grant Loves superb narration make this a must listen.
I was kindly given a copy of the book and leave this honest review.

Really thought provoking
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and it was so engaging. There is just so much going on here whilst the marriage is imploding. There is so much under the surface that was going on, the narration really brought the story added to life. This was a definite binge listen.
The combination of author and narrator are quickly becoming one of my favourites and go to listens.

A lot packed into this story
Such a lot packed into a relatively short listen, with lots of characters who are mostly unlikeable and police you can root for! Very nicely narrated, very engaging.
