Summary

Tom and Pippa Drummond have the perfect life. Tom is a partner in the successful restaurant The Pelican, and Pippa grows and sells herbs whilst bringing up their lively daughter, Tally.

As they arrive in Tuscany on a much needed family holiday, it seems life couldn't be better. But overnight their whole world is turned upside down, and life will never be the same again. From being the perfect family and the envy of all their friends, they are thrust into a world that nobody would wish upon them.

Only Dad bears all the Titchmarsh trademarks. A deliriously entertaining blend of humour and romance with a piquancy of sexiness!

Comforting story

A pleasant human story well told. He observes human nature well and doesn’t over-dramatise, which I like.

Titchmarsh never fails

I have enjoyed all of Alan Titchmarsh's books that I have read to date and this one is no exception. Great story that had me thinking of excuses to put my headphones on to listen to a bit more.

My own feelings

I personally lost my Beloved husband for 40 years. Only 6 months ago and it bring back sadness. But Alan’s books is most enjoyable to read and to listen too. He always add romance and sexiness to a story, which made it enjoyable. I want to know is he really romantic?
Love all his books ❤️

Wonderful listen!

Beautifully written and narration from Alan, I laughed and cried yes the tears fell! I won’t give anymore away, I thought the writing was believable and flowed well. I noticed one review stated that the narrator didn’t do well but Alan (in my opinion) puts his heart and soul into this. Loved loved loved this, I will be reading more from Alan.

Adored it x

I bought this book years ago and it’s a repeat read for me, and I was excited to listen to it now that I’m not able to read as easily these days, thank you for this story, I can’t wait for more with credits soon x

Shame about the narrator!

This was the first book I bought by Titchmarsh. The story is quite good and the characters are believable but for me it was spoilt by the narration which was the worst of any audible book I have listened to. Titchmarsh has a pleasant voice but his ability to use it to bring different characters to life is poor.
