Some strategies that resonated with me include changing “What if…” to “If …, I will …” and catching yourself to say “I am being too hard on myself.” I also appreciate the way Williams backs up her advice by explaining both our evolutionary bent to focus on the negative and (fortunately) our neural plasticity (rewiring our brains by changing our thoughts and habits). Williams also helpfully focuses on physical health, hydration, and getting enough sleep. The writing and narration are supportive and encouraging.
