Summary
Emma keeps having those recurring dreams of her parents holding her since she was two years old. Just like in the previous dreams, she sees a zombie, and it seems as if her parents are trying to help it by coming up with a vaccine.
Flashback to the past when her parents died in a car accident, the FBI is hard at work in trying to piece their own puzzle to find the lab which Emma’s parents ran. Reaching the venue, they discover another zombie. The new situation creates a panic and fear that grips everyone as they scramble to figure out what’s going on.
After a discussion with the FBI, Mrs. Norris is sucked up much deeper within the plot, and the situation gets ever more intense. Without any rhyme or reason, more people could be infected in times ahead.
More truths are revealed about Emma’s past. Some of the questions are answered, but more questions begin to emerge in this sequel.
The zombie virus strand is complicated and diverse. While some of these creatures are harmless, others are out for blood. Mrs. Norris reveals the secret to Emma, and Ben also finds out the long-hidden truth.
This pause-resister sequel will have you bound to your seat in anticipation of what’s to come next. Is Mrs. Norris at risk of being infected? Will Emma be able to keep it together or will the circumstances overwhelm her? The team must stay focused and work closely with each other if they are to survive.

Baskerville Book Reviews
Book 2 wastes no time getting to the point. Though it’s more of chapter 2. It does a little world-building which I appreciated and the action scenes are nice. While the story isn’t anywhere near finished, I appreciate that it didn’t end on a cliffhanger like book 1. It did a nicer job of wrapping things up.
Again, the narrator does an excellent job. She’s great at making the action scenes intense and adding genuine sounding fear to characters’ voices.
