Chamisso konnte an diesen als in Preußen lebender gebürtiger Franzose nicht teilnehmen.
Auch mehr als 200 Jahre nach seiner Entstehung hat dieses Werk nichts von seiner Anziehungskraft eingebüßt - besonders in dieser Hörfassung, in der Jan Terstiege dem Protagonisten seine Stimme auf beeindruckende Weise leiht.
