Emoitionally driven!
WOW! This is an emotional journey and I am only half way through! I cannot say enough good things about this book. Zeke has run away, only to be found by people who are willing to help him. As a teen in the foster system, he was constantly let down. Now he has a chance. Going to school, learning to take care of himself and bond with friends is not easy. When he rooms with Ethan though, there is a connection. Ethan too has had his share of tragic times and still has trouble processing them. Now with Zeke though, it's getting easier. Plus the Deckers have taken an interest in their music! With Tucker, Hannah and Rocco, the sky is the limit. Now as success and stardom come to them, life takes on another turn. Relationships are elevated, destroyed and things may never be as they once were. Claudia Burgoa has my heart bleeding for these kids. Yes, life dealt them hands that were hard to come back from. But given the chance, are they going to take it and make the most of their success? Or will it drag them back to darkness. I need to grab the second book as this one ends, and I am on the edge. Love this kind of angsty, relevant story, and cannot wait to see where things go.
Who better to tell this story to us than JF Harding and Aaron Shedlock? What a team! Harding as Ethan has my heart aching. His emotions are raw and real. Shedlock as Zeke has a little attitude, a bit of insecurity and never really believing what he is becoming. I could hear it all in his voice. These two are fantastic and are making this story incredible to listen to.
