German Level 1 Lessons 6-10 builds on material taught in prior units. Each lesson provides 30 minutes of spoken language practice, with an introductory conversation and new vocabulary and structures. Detailed instructions enable you to understand and participate in the conversation. Each lesson contains practice for vocabulary introduced in previous lessons. The emphasis is on pronunciation and comprehension and on learning to speak German. Reading lessons begin in unit ten and provide you with an introduction to reading German. These readings are designed to teach you to sound out words with correct pronunciation and accent.

Having studied other books this audio is really good and I find my progress is maintained. Have invested in next chapters and look forward to continuing through the levels

Perfect! Sehr gut haha
Should be a definite buy for anyone and everyone that wants to learn German from scratch. I've got the first 5 lessons too. I'm currently at unit 10 of this, so about to move to the next set. It's fantastic. Definitely gonna buy all the future units too. Pimsleur is now my 'go to' for any language learning.
Spoiler alert: our main man gets a brutal rejection in unit 9. The lady is a savage.

Excellent and enjoyable
I'd like to say two things as a linguist. One is that this is definitely one of the most engaging audio language courses I've tried. It's well lead, it feels quite practical (although biased towards an American user), the actors speak clearly and are easy to understand and follow. I really enjoy the lessons. They use repetition and guide you very effectively.
On the other hand, I'd also like to say that this will not replace the more traditional ways of learning the language if you are working towards fluency.
I work with a tutor and find this really useful to consolidate and enforce what I've learned during my lessons. But overall the vocabulary is too limited and the grammar not covered thoroughly enough to allow fluency.

Excellent series. This set of lessons teaches the time including some basic numbers. This is my second Pimsleur language course.

cannot complere this course on audible...
chapter 6 moves into READING written German which is NOT available on audible despite the text saying that it is. it has not appeared anywhere for me to download. says something about the other reviews...
