About this listen
A short story of love mixed with tragic loss. Two people trapped in their own emotional despair while struggling to come to terms with the deaths of people that they couldn’t imagine living without. But when all hope is lost, only then can something truly special happen.
Set in a small quaint village which has been made famous by the local bridge, Adam and Sarah, strangers until now, find they need to visit the bridge for very different reasons before they can finally let go. Will they be able to confront their fear, guilt, and regret? Can they finally put the ghosts of the past to rest, or will they need a little friendly help?
Only then will they gain the knowledge that love never really dies.

An enchanting and beautiful story
What a delight! A lovely story, which anyone who has endured loss can relate to. A bridge, three memorable characters and a mysterious girl from the past, all linked together through loss and love - and a black cat who is as much a character as the humans in the story. He acts as an 'observer' in his own feline way. The author never tries to 'humanise' him and he adds another dimension to the story which could probably have managed without him, but the story would not then have been so vivid and rich. This was a quick listen, with a satisfying conclusion promising the prospect of a 'happy ever after', and beautifully narrated. Adam and Sarah each learn something about themselves and about the person who meant so much to them, I really enjoyed this story. A sweet romantic tale with a hint of magic and the supernatural. It left me with a smile on my face and wishing it could have been a bit longer.
