Another lovely book by Lisa Jewell

A nice easy listen but with enough substance to make me want to continue each evening.
Not as dark or shocking as some of her others books but a lovely listen with good narration. I also enjoyed the 2nd book which gave us more insight into the 2 of the main characters and how their lives played out.
I’m sad that I’m now running out of her books to listen to 😢

Great characters

This was very different from the later Lisa Jewell books I've listened to but very enjoyable.

Good story - unfortunate narration.

Really enjoyed the story, but the narration was not for me. I definitely prefer my audio books just to be read, rather than acted.

The narration was SUPERB

Love Lisa Jewell’s books and have downloaded almost all of them now. This story was good-not perhaps quite as good as others I’ve read-but what made this book stand out for me was how the narrator brought it to life. I literally laughed out loud in my car at the voices of some of the characters in certain parts of the story due to how the narrator read it. I will be seeking out books read by Imogen Church now. Pleased I downloaded this audible book.

Early Lisa Jewell

This was the first Jewell book I read, some 20+ years ago and I enjoyed it as a late teenager. However, having listened recently on audible I find it outdated and immature. Whilst I appreciate the book, it’s not a patch on Jewell’s later work of which I am a huge fan. Still enjoyable to a certain extent, it was a disappointing listen for me. But then at 41, I might not be the books target audience.

excellent story well read

This was yet again another brilliant book by Lisa jewell. Loved it. Had lots of parts that had me laughing out loud. Imogen did a brilliant job of narrating using different voices and accents for the characters which made it easier to follow. Kept my attention throughout would highly recommend.
