This girl just couldn't catch a break no matter what she did. It started when she paid all her money just to get the "rejuvenation" process and it only went down hill from there for her. She's threatened by her new boss, then her supposed friend gives her up to her boss, then her boss drinks enough of her blood to make her pass out, then he turns her into a vampire which she didn't want and makes her kill someone. After everything she goes through, her husband tries to change for her because he wants her to really love him. She eventually does and gets pregnant and boy does irony rear it's ugly head. you will have to listen to this one to find out how. I found it kind of comical.

I think the narrator did a good job on this one.

If you like modern vampire stories then this one is worth a listen for that aspect. However, I didn't really warm to any of the characters which was a pity. The plot does trundle along though with twists along the way, so the story did keep my interest to the end. I would give 3.5 for the overall book score, rounded up to 4.
