Summary
Once the breathing rhythm and a general calm has been established you will be guided through a progressive relaxation procedure, focusing on each part of the body in turn, releasing muscular tension and easing stress while maintaining awareness of a gentle breathing rhythm. With the music and instructions you will drift peacefully into deeper and deeper relaxation.
Once the stage by stage relaxation of the body has been completed, you will be encouraged to imagine yourself lying peacefully on a tropical beach and move into an ever deeper state of relaxation, calmed and pacified.
Finally you will be brought gradually back to a state of wakefulness, rested and refreshed.

I bought it beacuse of Hugh Fraser
Hugh Fraser is a wonderful narrator. I fell under his charm of course in the films with David Suchet and was so pleased to discover the chappie was also doing audible books. I often choose books because of their narrator simply because some of my favourite books end up being killed, or at least my joy is diminished by a narrator. Hence I often choose the narrators of the books I'll be listening next, but not always of course!

Absolutely delightful
What a treat! Hugh Fraser's voice is so calming with such a gorgeous timbre. I have many audiobooks narrated by him - first class. The script he's written is wonderfully progressive, taking me from somewhat relaxed to fully asleep within 15 minutes - quite a feat for an erstwhile insomniac! I imagine this technique must have stood him in very good stead as an actor, and perhaps fellow actors persuaded him to record it.
I always smile when I visualise a beautiful, therapeutic warmth on my lumbar spine - my favourite bit. It's also an utter delight to imagine Hastings helping me to relax and sleep. The gently crashing waves are perfect, as is the timing of Hugh Fraser's pauses and delivery.
Just a pity Audible hasn't divided this into two separate chapters, as I have to toggle to approx. 20 mins to reach the 2nd track (my favourite as I invariably use this at night). Luckily, "Audible hopes you've enjoyed..." isn't too loud at the end.
Thank you, Hugh Fraser! You've really helped me with muscle relaxation and dropping off at night. Now I must buy your thrillers for the opposite effect!

Simple but effective
Written and read by Hugh Fraser, this is a very simple, but very effective, relaxation audiobook. It is divided into two parts: the first half for relaxing during the day, and the second half for encouraging deep and refreshing sleep at night.
Hugh Fraser's soothing voice leads you through the relaxation, to the accompaniment of gentle, very unobtrusive music, and the sound of soporific waves breaking on the shore in the background. I don't know how it ends, as I have never yet got to the end without falling asleep - could there be any better recommendation?

Superb! So relaxing!
I absolutely love Hugh Fraser doing narration, I have all the Agatha Christie books he narrates.
This book is perfect if you want to relax and switch off from the world and just drift away.
I would completely recommend this book to everyone, it is so soothing, perfect for the commute home on the train.
I am biased as I adore Hugh Fraser narrating, I wish he would do more books.

what a shame!
The loud blaring intrusive music is at odds with both subject and narration. An unpleasant experience.
