About this listen

Five hundred years of fighting demons and humanity has been pushed to the brink of extinction. As the last bastion of the remaining humans is shattered, Bran Heros, the Wandering King, decides to enact a last ditch effort.

He’s going to send his soul back in time to two years before the demon invasion comes to earth.

This time when the demons first come he’s going to be waiting. He might not be as strong as he was in his past life, but he has something far more important. He has time to get ready for what’s to come and the knowledge to take advantage of every second.

Bran is going to use his second chance to gobble up resources and make himself as well as those he chooses a force to be reckoned with.

For now, that means starting all over at level one again.

If you like K.D Robertson's "Mob Socery" mafia element and "Heretic Spellblade" time travel protagonist aspect but want a little of the Solo Leveling Manwa "player" gimmick added to the mix, then this story is for you!

I was engaged by the end of chapter one and the rest of the story continued at a good pace along with just enough world building, history and character development and intro to leave me satisfied.
Threet and Boucher again are an excellent narrator combo. Looking forward to book 2.

This story speaks to every gamer who has restarted their RPG in efforts to save useful NPCs, and in Sentar's excellent style too. That those the MC, Bran, helps are in some ways stronger & better skilled than him shatters usual tropes of the genre. please hurry along book 2 on audible!

It started promising in the beginning. The first half was good, but the second part, the gang part became meaningless and from the woman OP awakening it became lukewarm SIMPy. Start is a 5 rest is a 3!

This is absolutely one hundred percent worth every second of time spent listening to and I cannot wait for the rest in this series.

I love the plot of the story. this is my second re listen. however the male narrator keeps whispering on some occasions and slowly dragging out words. which is very annoying. also when he does his internal monologue and speaking to others. sometimes his voice doesn't change and you miss a bit of the conversation

I went half-way through the story until I droped it because all the flirting made me cringe.

It's a Harem so the romance is pretty meh, Unfortunately romance makes for a decent percent of it's content.
