Summary
Cat Hayden returning to her childhood home after 19 years, is a different person, and a tragic accident has left her insecure about her appearance. But her heart is still filled with memories of the love she left behind - Blake McBride. Blake recognizes Cat with his heart, a heart that never stopped loving her. But that heart was broken when she left so long ago. Can he trust her again and rekindle that flame that burned so strong? A champion barrel racer before the accident, Cat finds herself instructing Blake's talented yet temperamental 14-year-old daughter, Demi. Demi is determined to see her divorced parents find happiness together, and Cat, great coach or not, doesn't fit in the picture. During a bitter legal battle with his ex-wife, Blake stands to lose custody of his daughter. Cat stands by her man, but can he fight for his daughter and keep the woman he loves, or will shattering events tear them apart - permanently.

Fantastic Cowboy story!
This is a fantastically written and narrated story. I can’t get enough of this author’s books. The author has a wonderful way of drawing you into the storyline. She also has a way of telling the story that makes you see and feelings of the characters.
The narrator is exceptional narrator. He definitely has a unique way of given each character there own unique voice. Which makes is extremely easy to get drawn into the story and the characters lives. He is definitely one of my favorite narrator’s.

Engaging and skillfuly written.
This book covered a range of subjects, including addiction child custody, child abuse, the death of child and other issues that may be sensitive for some people.
Cat and Blake were high school sweethearts, first loves, and then she broke up with him, left home to get away from her abusive father. Now she is back after many years. Cat has been through a lot! Child abuse, traumatic brain injury, broken marriage and the lost of a child.
Blake is now divorced and a single dad to his 14 year old daughter. He and Cat now have a second chance at love but they have many twists and turns before they can have their HEA.
The story is skillfuly written, it is realistic, engaging and it was easy connect with all the emotions of the characters.

Sweet, Feel-Good Modern Western Romance
This story is a wonderful, emotionally charged, second chance romance. It is so sensitively written and narrated that the listener cannot help but relate to and feel for the characters. This story doesn't shy away from harder emotions and harder issues but still has the HEA the reader hopes for.
Cat and Blake have a strong history and a rekindled attraction that cannot be ignored. While they are the same people they once were, they are also very different. They have life experiences that colour the way they think and behave as well as affect the choices that they make. Life doesn't usually tie up issues in pretty little bows, and that certainly is true in this story. Cat and Blake have to decide whether they can pursue their second chance at love or meet the demands their lives have on them.
Overall, this is an enjoyable, touching romance with major feel-good factor.
