Summary

What did the president know? And when did she know it?

For the members of SEAL Team Six, it was a rare mission ordered by the president, monitored in real time from the Situation Room. Houthi rebels in Yemen had captured an American journalist and a member of the Saudi royal family. Their executions were scheduled for Easter Sunday. The SEAL team were to break them out. But when the mission results in spectacular failure, the finger-pointing goes all the way to the top.

Did the president play political games with the lives of US service members?

Paige Chambers, a determined young lawyer, has a very personal reason for wanting to know the answer. The case she files will polarize the nation and test the resiliency of the Constitution. The stakes are huge, the alliances shaky, and she will be left to wonder if the saying on the Supreme Court building still holds true.

Equal justice under law

It makes a nice motto. But will it work when the defendant is also one of the most powerful people on the planet?

Rule of Law

Superb story & narration. Thank you for bringing me into this world & portraying the challenges our defence forces & those that lead them face every day. You keep us safe, for which I am truly grateful.

Too much religious propaganda

An interesting insight into the American legal system and the role of the Supreme Court.
Narrator is very good.
What I found increasingly grating was the emphasis on the importance of religious faith in characters lives. A non American listener may find it a bit odd . I grew up in a religious environment and I thought it showed a smug arrogance by the author.

Not the best I’ve read

An interesting plot line but I found it very slow, so much so I nodded off a couple of times while listening.

Story ok but utterly stupid narration

The narrator is one of the worst I’ve listened to. Irritating voice pitch and a really unintelligent reading style. She makes all the characters sound like they’re drunk or stoned or just plain dumb. She races so it’s hard to follow. She’s just really bad, it’s hard to get past that.

Enjoyable listen

It definitely was an enjoyable listen although a little bit tedious in sections. Would recommend for any with an interest in the conspiracy of dirty politics.

Great Teamwork

An immersive story excellently delivered. I initially I was skeptical about a war story narrated by a female voice. I was so wrong. The story is bought to life and connects with the emotions. Highly recommend

Well written, well structured, excellent

A very well structured book. At times an emotional roller coaster.

One of the better books that I have encountered.

Not for me !

Narration irritating, couldn’t believe in the storyline or the character only made it to chapter 3 and gave up! So can’t say if it manages to get better further on.
