Stella first meets Emmett when she walks away from her wedding day when her groom stole all her money and cheats on her !! So in a bar getting drunk and wallowing in her own disaster of her wedding day.Emmett happens to be there and helps her,taking care of her making sure she doesn't get into trouble.
Emmett Collins is a propetry mangager for Simon Banks...Yes thats right BANKS he is Stella's brother,he has no idea who she is..Nothing happens between them that night,but he can't stop thinking about her he thinks he will never see her again until he is sent to Florida to check on properties there,and staying in one of those properties is Stella...She is on her honeymoon with no groom of course.
This is when they have a 2 week fling and it is the hottest steamiest time Stella has ever experienced.
Stella is a real firecracker and I loved that about her,I connected with her as someone who always thought she had to always fit in and be just like her sisters.
Emmett is the opposite to her horrible ex fiance..He shows her what a partner should be like...He is so supportive,and understanding,attentive and caring,he boosts Stella's confidence when it has been knocked down for years by her Ex.I love Emmett.
This is an age gap story there is 10 years age difference between Stella and Emmett which is not a problem..The problem is that Emmett does not do relationships,because of his parents disaster of a relationship.Stella wants it all marriage,babies etc,they don't want the same things in life...Until one Runaway bride changes Emmett's mind.
This audiobook is narrated by Amanda Stribling and Tyler Donne who where Fantastic portraying the characters..I have listened to Amanda before and she is always excellent at voicing the roles she is assigned..But Tyler is new to me I have never heard his voice before and I have to say I loved his voice and he was amazing voicing Emmett.
Runaway Brides Guide to love By Chelle Sloan is the first in a new series and Stella and Emmett's romance kicks this off with a superb start..The dialogue was so witty and funny and the story was a delight to listen to.
I loved it.
