About this listen
Under the sea lie the secrets of her past...and a deadly threat to her future.
Targa fears the truth will lose her the man she loves. As she returns to Poland to reunite with Antoni, she wishes she could share her mermaid secrets without betraying her kind. But when a magical stone goes missing from the local museum, the siren may have to choose between protecting her loved ones and treason.
As Targa tracks the stolen gem, she discovers a sinister plot centuries in the making. And the power the thieves seek could leave both the land and the sea utterly devastated.
Can Targa protect the secrets of her people, or will her attempt at a double life take everything she loves away?
If you like conflicted heroines, simmering romance, and modern mermaids, you’ll love USA Today best-selling author A. L. Knorr’s aquatic adventure.

OMG this is amazing!
This is a wonderfully captivating tale about mermaids. The enchanting narration really complements the story with a variety of different voices and accents. I would definitely listen to this book again.

Loved this, heard almost non-stop!
I read the book for this about a year ago, and could hardly put it down… Hearing this now renews my enthusiasm for the story, and is leaving me champing at the bit to hear the rest of the trilogy adapted.
I liked the reader, she put a lot of emotion into her voice as she was reading the story, and was very easy to listen to.
The story is a continuation of Targa’s saga, as she rejoins Anthoni in Poland; with her mother, Mira, who is fighting the call of the sea, she has to learn to adapt to her new role in the Novak mansion. As you can expect nothing is straightforward, and a mystery regarding the disappearance of an artifact from the Sybellen brings a shocking realisation to light… No spoilers, just read it… You definitely won’t be disappointed!

Another wonderful adventure
Once again I have been transported to the world of mermaids and Atlantians. A. L. Knorr has a wonderful way of transporting you with her characters as they find there way in a strange world of myths and fantasy. I really can’t wait for the next book.

Amazing!
Having listened to all the other books in the Elementals series, I was more than ready for this book, the continuation of Targa and Mira's story,
Having moved to Poland to take over the Novak company, Targa and Mira are learning to adapt to a new lifestyle, except Mira starts her salt cycle - meaning she will have to leave Targa and return to the sea. She fights it, but she has become so frail and a ghost of her former self. Targa, despite not wanting to lose her mother, takes her to the sea and gives her blessing to leave (make sure you have plenty of tissues at this point).
There's a few twists and turns - one of which I did not see coming! Who is trying to break into the Novak mansion, who can Targa trust, and will Targa see her mother again?
This is a really great listen and the narrator. Marni Penning, does a fantastic job - she is really pleasant to listen to and is good with accents so we can tell the characters apart.
If you haven't listened to or read the Elementals series yet, listen to/read them first otherwise you will not understand the back stories of the characters - and the previous books are just as good as this one :)
