About this listen

I love this story. I've read it loads. Cameron comes home to see his father before he dies. He ends up dealing with a funeral a new brother called Seth and a Social Worker called Anna. His other brothers Ethan and Phillip have a job so Cam gets to look after the house and Seth. Then Anna puts him straight about what is going to happen if they want to keep Seth (which they do it was a dying request from their father). Gradually they want to keep Seth for his sake as well as theirs. Cam falls very hard for Anna but fights it all the way. Great characters and great story.

I read this series many years ago and have just come back to listening to them. The narrator doesn’t do it for me but the story got me involved enough to ignore him. Pity as a more suited narrator would have really enhanced the story.

I had read and loved this series but thought it wouldn't translate well to audible and how wrong I was. I enjoyed this immensely. Great reading and great story. Am purchasing the others in this series immediately

The Quinn Brothers series follows the usual romance format but in this case the main characters do have a bit of an edge. All three male protagonists had a harsh start in life and suffered childhood violence, sexual abuse or gang life. Brought together by their adopted father's death and his dying wish that they care for a fourth adopted brother, a ten year old boy named Seth who none of them know well, Cam, Ethan and Phil must work together to restructure their lives and prevent Seth being returned to life of negligence and cruelty. Along the way they must they must clear their father's name and, as befitting of a Nora Roberts novel, negotiate happiness with the love of their lives.

The narrator's easy drawl adds to the tone of the story and although the characters are involving this is very easy listening. No major twist coming your way, everything does end happily ever after (it's a romance novel after all)!

Be warned though, no mysteries are laid to rest until the third book Inner Harbor and the Quinn Brothers swear - a lot! You may want to use headphones for this one!

Loved all the characters, want to hear each of their stories’. This is a new author for me so I took advantage of an Audible sale to try out, so glad I did, I think I’ve found a treasure. Okay, so I’m obviously not the first, she has hundreds of titles, but it’s a first for me and I’m hooked. Just bought the second book and about to start it. Had already got others in the series in the sale but like I said, love all the characters and don’t want to miss anyone’s story. Think you can take that as a recommendation.

This is the first book of 4 . I started listening to this book because i had not listened to many books like this on disc before i had herd of Nora Roberts.but not listened to anything of hers well this was a very good book to start with, From the very beginning i was hooked and you just were absorbed into the story of this family of brothers and the boat yard. the 4 books look at different aspects of the brothers lives and threw all of this the boat yard is mixed in and what happens there with boats Once you start listening you don't want to stop all you want to now is what happens next i have listened to other books by Nora Roberts since these, I found these a very good place to start but this author has written many books and if you have read others or listened to others you will now how she rights and will not be disappointing I could right this Review for all 4 books but that would be a wast of time, AS you could be listening to another great book I RATED this book five stars but all 4 books would get the same rating So enjoy and remember this is just my thoughts on these books but i hope you will Enjoy them as much as i did.

Great start to the series

A great start to this series, i really love the banter between the quins. It was great to see Camran and Anna grow together and with her personality she was a good match for Cam. The way Cam brought Seth out of his shell and shown him patiance was also really good. Although resistant Cam did what was needed and was willing to make the changes needed to help his family.

Always love Nora Roberts but it was a struggle as the accents changed. May not be noticeable to others but for me the voices weren't consistent.
