Summary
An embedded omega journalist. A hardened alpha SEAL. Best friends on opposite sides of a line that can’t be crossed....
Journalist Colin Church has been through a lot. Through it all, he’s been able to rely on his best friend, Ed. Ed is the single most reliable person Colin has ever known - he’s also been in love with Ed since he knew what love was.
SEAL sniper Ed Adami has a great bunch of guys around him, a good Navy career, and a best friend in Colin he can always rely on - who he’s been in love with that since grade school. But he knows Colin doesn’t want a husband and kids, so he’s kept his attraction a secret.
When Colin gets assigned to Ed’s unit as an embedded reporter, what could have been a dream assignment turns sour when a face from the past brings trouble.
Will Ed and Colin finally air their hidden desires for one another?
In this 80,000-word omegaverse/gay paranormal romance, descriptive scenes of alpha/omega passion makes Seal of Love a story for adults only.

Ooops .... they did it
Aiden Bates did a good job making you addicted to the drama Colin and Ed experience in Seal of Love. Although I liked the story a part of the story line just gets forgotten, but guessing it will continue in book 4. Austin Jay made it easy to fall in love the characters and eady to follow.

Enjoyed the underlying story; Ed not so much
I am really enjoying the story of Navy Seals out to stop a white supremacist group, and I loved the character of Colin who (in the beginning) knew what he wanted (and what he didn't. He was strong, caring, opinionated and independent. Then, there was Ed, an arrogant a$$ who put his own desires above Colin's and thought Colin should give up all he cared about to suit Ed's needs. I didn't feel the love at all, just a sense of perceived ownership. Even when Ed started seeing a counselor, his attitude didn't change much, and he still got what he wanted - Colin at home and pregnant. Sorry, but I wasn't impressed. I will probably continue on with the series because I want to see what happens, but I hope the author gives his omegas a little more respect, not make them end up like subservient housewives from the 1950's.
The narration was very enjoyable.

3 stars
Yikes. On one hand this was a unique plot and the blurb was very intriguing but holy moly was I disappointed in Ed. He was everything that I hate about stereotypical alpha behavior for 98% of the book and then even at the end he still came off as an “alphahole”. I thought the narration was great but the story was cringey and by halfway I didn’t even want them to be together in the end because I hated Ed so much.
