Summary
Introducing Geralt the Witcher - revered and hated - who holds the line against the monsters plaguing humanity in the best-selling series that inspired the Witcher video games and a major Netflix show.
Geralt. The witcher whose mission is to protect ordinary people from the monsters created with magic. A mutant who has the task of killing unnatural beings. He uses a magical sign, potions and the pride of every witcher - two swords, steel and silver.
But what would happen if Geralt lost his weapons?
Andrzej Sapkowski returns to his most popular hero in a stand-alone novel where Geralt fights, travels and loves again, Dandelion sings and flies from trouble to trouble, sorcerers are scheming...and across the whole world clouds are gathering - the season of storms is coming....

Great
A wonderful additional story in the Geralt saga, full of action, magic and monsters. If you've enjoyed the series so far this is as good as the rest easily

Further Witcher excellence
A wonderful twisting yarn that adds further colour to the world of Witcher Geralt whilst passing a few observations about our own. Whatever order the reader chooses to access these fabulous novels in, this should not be your first encounter - you will appreciate this book much more if you are already well versed in the lore & characters. There is humour, there is darkness, the inevitable sorceresses & of course an array of monsters, including various of human origin. With his trusted steed Roach at his side, Geralt traverses awkward situations that are not of his own making; at least mostly not ;) The narration is excellent and helps add life to our protagonists with Peter Kenny successfully pulling off the various voices required. The patter between Dandelion & Geralt is particularly close to how I imagined when reading earlier books in the series. The ending of the book gives us a satisfying yet intriguing & provoking epilogue... but before that you should set out upon this adventure - don't forget your swords.

Best Witcher book yet!
Fantastic reading as always from Peter Kenny and a great story focusing more on Gerald, his Witchering and less on politics and other characters as you find in other novels. For me, a fan of the video games, this was the best one yet as Geralt made use of his signs much much more and the action was excellent.

Swordplay and foreplay
Season of Storms by Andrzej Sapkowski. The finale of the #Witcher series and what a great book to end. There are endless plot twists in this work, from the confiscation of Geralt's swords to a deadly ambush to Dandelion's purchase of a staff, each chapter flows seamlessly...
For anyone sick of the #Witcher series being too Ciri-centric, you will be pleased to know her name is only mentioned once in this novel. Geralt and Dandelion, the boys are back in town #ThinLizzy. They engage in carnal relations throughout as well as some actual swordplay too.
Narrated by the ever amazing @PeterKennyVoice, the book's climax ends in mystery: it never ties the series' love story together but instead sees Geralt give the strangest of directions to Mozaïk and a riddle about being dead for 200 years. Weird? Yes. But also genius.
This has been one of my all time favourite series of books to have had the pleasure to read. For your next audiobook adventure reader, carry on your fantasy quest with @PeterKennyVoice narrating, you won't be disappointed. 📚5/5🌟#bookreview

Engaging story
Nice to actually have a standalone book focusing mainly on the witcher where he doesn't feel like side character,
Good plot and narration

Every single one of the Witcher books is brilliant
I've read all of the books now and the narrator brings the books alive. Never heard anything like it. I can't thank Netflix enough for bringing this saga to my attention. It's kept me entertained for hours.
