She'll uncover the shocking secrets of her past in paradise....
Sent away to convent school at the age of six, Irini McGuire has never really known her celebrated archaeologist mother, Bridget, who lives on the paradise island of Santorini. So, when Irini receives news that Bridget has been injured at a dig and is in coma she knows it is time to return to the island of her birth.
Discovering her mother's notes, and driven by rumours that her mother's injury was no accident, Irini starts to reveal the dark secrets behind her family's separation.
Can she unearth the truth about her parents and her past before it is too late?

Beautiful
I have now listened to all of Patricia Wilson’s books. They are so real. The way in which she describes everything pulls you right into the story. So many interesting facts too. Her books have only increased my interest in Greece and Greek culture and history.

Brilliant listen and wonderful novel
What a wonderful book. Most novels take at least a chapter to draw the reader/listener in.
Not this novel. From the beginning your drawn into the magic mystical world of the theory that the Greek
Island of.Santorini is the dwelling place of the lost city of Atlantis.
I have to commend the narrators who really brought this story to life.

A lovely....
storyline from start to finish with some great characters and antics within the book. The narrators were very good at using different voices for the characters.

A strange mix of history and fiction
This book wasn’t for me. I found myself wanting to skip the Ancient Greek mythology parts and get on with the story. About 10 chapters in I considered giving up on the book but I persevered and whilst I can’t say I’m sorry I did (persevere) I can’t say I’m pleased I did either.

Good
The archeological parts of the story, the myths and mystery were excellent. Loved the setting too, and the voice actor handled all the accents really well.
Some parts were too ‘Chick-Lit’ for me though. The main character being scouted as a fashion model while working behind a bar at 29, and despite having never modelled before, being given a contract almost on the spot, was a bit of an eye roll. As too, was the predictable romantic interest.
But Overall, I enjoyed this book.

What a wonderful book!
Secrets of Santorini is written with such colour it filled my imagination and I couldn’t wait to finish it… but at the same time I wanted to savour it too. Beautifully written, I loved it. I have a love affair with Greece and this took me back to Crete and Santorini.
Audible seems to bring the story alive, beautifully narrated.

Thoroughly enjoyable!
My first Patricia Wilson book but it won’t be my last! After a little hesitation at the start I became completely engrossed in story & characters, and loved the two narrator aspect, definitely enhances the telling. The fact that they happen to be my two favourite narrators was an added bonus!
