Summary
I’m starting over.
Moving to a new town to start college, where I can try to be normal. Or at least pretend I am.
I’m willing to fake it, because I’m tired of trying to get better. Tired of spilling my guts to doctors and therapists to understand why I’ve heard voices since I was a child.
The meds are working...for now, but if they stop, I’ll never tell. I just want to live my life, and if that means ignoring why so many people think I’m crazy, so be it.
She’s the most silent storm I’ve ever witnessed.
Waylynn is as pretty as a picture, curvy, with hazel eyes that always seem to evade everyone’s gaze.
She’s been avoiding me since our first encounter, but fate intervenes and brings her right back to me...and my brother.
Now I need to know more.
Seeing Sound is the first book of the Tasting Madness series. This is a reverse-harem novel with adult themes and situations.

Simple new adult why choose romance
New adult why choose romance with no plot outside of the fast developing romance. One of the guys has signs of PTSD that occassionally manifest in him being controlling or an ***hole, but otherwise they're very caring.
Duet narration - I hate these in 1st person books. I wish I'd noticed it before purchasing. It made all the men sound the same. I switched to the ebook which was a much better experience.

Epic first book!
This is an amazing first book in this series, it follows waylynns inner demons. Love how this book is hard hitting and brings a taboo subject of mental health to the forefront.
Love listening to Jacob Morgan and Vanessa moyen, perfect for these characters!

I don't know where this story is going
I was angry and disappointed at this story line ... but listened to the end hoping it would redeem its self. The main female character was vulnerable , naive and engaging . However the 2 male romantic leads were deeply concerning, in particular the older brothers actions were those of maipulation and cohesive ,controle. The portrail of this character who manipulates and controls a vulnerable female with what we are lead to believe are mental health issues is deeply disturbing and dangerous in what is supposed to be a light weight romantic peace of fiction aimed at a female audience. It is of concern that adolescent and young woman may not recognise the lead romantic interest in this book as being cohesive. This is a dangerous peace of writing in the 21st centry when thankfully we now have laws in the UK to guard persons from cohesive control. This is not love or romance and should not be portrayed as such.

great narrator's
I'm chapter 8 the first couple of chapters I thought this sounds great liked the narrator's , interesting set up for the story, it gets to chapter 7/8 and it felt like the story just went pfffffft the male characters were hard to follow the who's who and got all over the place who's the hero again. Turns out to be a reverse harem romance ? still not much difference btwn male characters. I think one review advises this is a slow burner and usually these are the books I love but my god was I bored by chapter 8 my eyes crossed you gotta have a bit of tension come on. there was zip zilch nadder on romance will they won't they departments if I had the book it would get a throw on the floor by now. maybe it could pick up but it's gonna be a L H O N G G G G trudge to find out doubt I'll bother.... well I finished the thing and sorry to say didn't get any better story wise naff ending to lead to book 2 of the shore fest. overall cover great sample blurb best bit of story and narrator's loved story itself waste of time.

Slow burn but gripping
The story has you hooked from the first moment and the tension throughout is just...gah!!! So so good.
I'm not usually a fan of slow burn, but I throughly enjoyed this book. It's beautifully written and I can't wait to see what happens next!

It's 'show, not tell' not 'tell, don't show'
Whatever happened to painting a picture with words?
You will need to apologise to your brain for putting it through such pain if you try and read through this dismal excuse for a wattpad first draft.

Glad I read Friends with the Monsters first 2.5*
I listened to this series after listening to the Friends with the Monsters duo, and I have to say, I was expecting better. I did finish the series, but I feel like I've just watched a film that I wasn't enjoying, but I couldn't be bothered to change the channel.
