I was wrong. It's very possible if you're willing to learn about it and put the effort in and make it succeed. This is a long task to get started and upkeep but it will be extremely worth it and pay itself off 10,20,30 fold (even more!).
Much like anything, there's a learning curve but this will teach you the basics, much of it you'll learn through taking action! If you've ever wanted to give this a go, I'd recommend it! Start small, grow upwards. Slow and steady :)
