Austen at her best - beautifully read

Transported away into another time
Juliet Stevenson's reading of this classic allows you to be transported away to another time & revel in the sheer delight of her voice, intonation & diction which takes Ms Austen's classic to a new level of enjoyment. Though familiar with the book, I thought I would listen to it again in favour of re-reading the book prior to the next book club - sheer joy A must download for every Audible library!

Perhaps mournful?
What did you like most about Sense and Sensibility?
This is another masterpiece from Jane Austen, with wonderful depths to the stories of her characters. Although it's somewhat mournful throughout, it's definitely a must-read.
Juliet Stevenson did a fabulous job as always, such quality to her reading. But I have to say that after listening to the whole, rather negative story for much of the time, I just had to watch the Emma Thompson/Kate Winslet etc film, whose performances were just stunning.

Outstanding
This classic story is so well known, that it only requires me to comment on the narration. Juliet Stevenson is brilliant, she catches the characters and their moods so well. I have other books narrated by her, and she brings all her characters to life. This a beautiful story, one I will listen too again and again. My favourite book of all of Jane Austin's books.

Sensible to read this book

Juliet Stevenson's interpretation is excellent. She has such a well modulated voice and reads beautifully.

Just wonderful
Can't believe I have never read this classic, but so glad I waited to listen to it, superbly narrated by Juliet Stevenson. I am now looking for other books read by her. Thoroughly recommend.
