Good plot spoiled by awful narration

If you could sum up Separation of Power in three words, what would they be?

Could be better

Who was your favorite character and why?

Kennedy always seems to have that extra insight into the meanings of people's actions.

Would you be willing to try another one of Ken Kliban’s performances?

Will definitely avoid. Poor intonation, always seems as if a quiet statement is an argument. Dialogue perpetually ends on an upward inflection that I found initially irritating and eventually it spoiled the book. I won't listen to anything by this narrator again. Painful!

Dreadful narration, good story

This is without out doubt the most awful narration I have ever listened to. With Mis-pronounced words and a complete failure to convey any of the drama of the prose Ken Kliban has almost completely ruined this book. Fortunately the story is good enough that I forced myself to finish it, but only just. Although probably only because I enjoyed the first 2 books immensely.
I was looking forward to this series as it has been highly recommended to me after I ran out of jack reacher books, if Ken Kliban is reading any more of them though, I think I will have to find something else!

Another great story, shame about the narration.

This audio book is great the story is fast paced and Mitch Rapp is a truly unique character. The problem is Ken Kliban, his narrative is bland and he made a couple of speech errors (not many you understand but the ones he did were very easy to avoid).
Overall it's a great story slightly let down by the narration.

Flynn brilliant again

What made the experience of listening to Separation of Power the most enjoyable?

Another brilliant book in the Mitch Rapp Saga, following on nicely to others. Mitchs Character continues to develop and mature. Nice narration and great story. If you're a Rapp fan - this is another great book. Havent listened to a bad Vince Flynn book yet !

What other book might you compare Separation of Power to, and why?

One of the series of Rapp stories: Transfer of Power - Consent to kill

What about Ken Kilban’s performance did you like?

Good narration style.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No but gripping in places

Any additional comments?

Great Book.

Not as good as the earlier Mitch Rapp stories.

The story included several bickering arguments that were tedious. The plot line was not as exciting as the earlier stories.
Narration made the Mitch Rapp character seem more irritable and less cool.

Good story poor narrator

It's amazing how much a narrator can affect the enjoyment of a story.

I've read most of Vince Flynn's books & have listened to all of his books on audible. George Guidall is definitely the best for these books, he's a really good narrator & I've got a lot of other books that he's narrated. The first 2 Mich Rapp books & Term Limits were narrated by Nick Sullivan who was ok, but Ken Kilban's narration is very grating

Dissapointed

I was disssapointed with the audio version of this book as the narrator did not bring the charatures to life as much as other narrators have on the same series. I also felt that there was much repetative catching up in the text from the the previous book which i was already aware off however i understand this was for the people who had not read the previous book. Whilst i did enyoy it, it was not one of Vince Flynns better efforts - however i am looking forward to the next Mitch adventure.

Bit of a drag

I’m diligently working my way through Mitch Rapp series and must say first couple of books kept me on my toes in anticipation of Mitch’s next move but unfortunately the next few have turned into bit of a drag. Storyline, descriptions etc is getting longer and action shorter to my disappointment. I am going to give it another shot and read next book before I give up. Shame as I had very high hopes for this series.
