About this listen

Welcome to Paradise Valley, where the locals thrive on the rural landscape, the quirky Oregonian living, and the history of the lesbian commune that founded it.

Mixing small town attitudes with lesbian dating? Sounds like another day in Paradise.

On the first day of senior year in a new school, Alabaman transplant Carrie Sage meets the girl of her lesbian dreams. Too bad the mayor’s daughter is a bit too straight to go for a troublemaking Southerner like Carrie.

Enter Leigh-Ann Hardy, the only girl in Clark High School who knows a thing or two about the girl Carrie crushes after like it’s Valentine’s Day. After all, Leigh-Ann and the mayor’s daughter used to be best friends.

While Carrie navigates life in a brand-new place that automatically labels her more trouble than she’s worth, Leigh-Ann faces a truth she’s been suppressing her whole life in Paradise Valley.

She might be a little bit gay. It only took the new girl to make her see that!

new girl in school, this series of books is enjoyable, some more than others, what I like about this is the attitude of the alabama girl, no nonsense straight talk, knows who she is, works and studies hard, and accepts no fools. finding a new friend in leanne who is coming to terms with her own sexuality.
the narrator puts emphasis into the tone of voice which enhances the story.

I liked the story of Carrie and Leigh Ann.
But it was a bit confusing because over 3 hours you think Carrie only likes Christina and not Leigh Ann ... but these two are the MCs.
There is very little time with the two of them together, but I understand that it is important to the whole story. Sometimes the Narrator speaks as Carrie like she just doesn't care.
Don't hear different feelings in her voice and speaking.
Still, it was another good story in a "Year in Paradise".
