Exquisitely written with surprising twists!
If you could sum up Shadowline Drift in three words, what would they be?
Very Very Good
What other book might you compare Shadowline Drift to, and why?
How can I compare this. It's a very good science fiction book, very well written and it drew me in within the first 5 minutes. The premise is around Jake Kendrick, the size of a five-year-old, who works for an organization that is intent on ending world hunger. Because he is the same size as Mawgis, the chief of a newly discovered tribe in the Amazon rainforest, Jake is sent to negotiate on behalf of humankind to secure a certain mineral that only the tribe has on its grounds. This mineral supposedly has the potential to make world hunger a thing of the past, or does it do something else? This is a must read book.
Which character – as performed by Joel Froomkin – was your favourite?
Jake. He's great. I loved his attitude and skills set. A brilliant character.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
It grabbed me from the start. It caught me by surprise. Lots of everything you like from action to questions to answer. A really good look into the Amazon that feels brilliantly described.
