Logan Jackson is a tattooed hottie with a troubled past, but he is really the sweetest guy there is. The only problem is Harper doesn't know if she can trust him, the last time she trusted a man things turned bad... quick!

Harper is a strong woman and I commend her for getting out of her situation, she has grown so much in the time since she left. Even though the scared girl is still inside of her, she isn't a coward.

Things heat up between the two and it was so sweet and emotional. I loved it. The way Logan understood her and the way he helped her work through things. It was amazing.

I loved this book and the sweetness of it all. This is the perfect small town romance with a little suspense added in.

I’m becoming to realize that AK Macbride has a pulse on realistic romance. I’m always drawn into her books and know that I’m going to love the journey of following her characters and this one was amazing.


Harper is a heroine that you’re going to root and feel for. Her love for her son Flynn keeps her focused on their future and hopes for a better life. She’s strong and afraid of letting others in due to her horrific past under a violent husband. Yet she has such a caring spirit and her new friends see it.

Logan also has a tragic past that’s kept him from being close to others but his neighbour Harper sparks something in his heart to open again. I loved how this big tattooed guy really tried to show Harper and Flynn that he was there for them and didn’t push a relationship with them, yet let’s them know through his actions that he wants to be with them.


The narration was awesome and really gave me the whole picture in my mind. Stacy’s Harper was spot on and her emotions were expressed in her performance. Her other characters were also done with just the right emotions expressed as well.

Gregory Salinas has just the right amount of deep country to make any gal swoon for his Logan. I loved his emotional performance in this audiobook.

Wow. Captivating narration. This book had me hooked until the very end. It was such an amazing story and so much of everything. The story had me feeling so much and the characters were so real. The narration added so much to it and brought the dialogue to life. Amazing listen!!

After suffering years of abuse from her policeman husband Sarah finds out she’s pregnant and decides to run.
She changes her name to Harper with the help from a women’s refuge and ends up in Willow Creek where she gets a job working in a vets for Chase Jackson. She also lives next door to his brother Logan who she has the hots for but is unaware he feels the same about her. Lovely clean romance with an HEA both narrators were perfect .

Shattered by A.K. MacBride is a single parent small town romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Stacy Gonzalez and Gregory Salinas.

This is the second book of A.K.’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. I was hooked from the very beginning and couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next. I loved the chemistry between Logan and Harper. I really enjoyed that we got both of their points of view throughout the story. It really brought the story to life.

I can’t wait for the next book in the series Wrecked to be released on audio so I can get Brett and Kenzie’s story.

Stacy and Gregory did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would highly recommend this book if you love single parent romances, small town romances, contemporary romance, or romantic suspense.

Shattered was a good story. I would have loved a bit of suspense with Harper's past. I feel like there was some missed potential there. I also found out I really dislike the endearment,  Sugar. Really, who knew? It's so subjective and is really a personal thing that it has nothing to do with my rating. It just bugged me after a while. I'm sure a ton are bothered by babe or baby. Apparently, sugar is my quirk. Anyways, I really enjoyed Logan. He was such a strong hero and I loved how he was able to be an alpha but not too much to trigger Harper. I really liked how the story developed and how we get to meet Sara and Drew together. I think seeing that development really made the extreme situation so understandable.

The narration was also good. Stacey Gonzalez really conveyed Harper pretty well. Harper always stayed away from people and kept her feelings out of her interactions. I could feel that in the narration. Finn's "mommy" was done quite well too.. Gregory Salinas put his heart out on his sleeve in his narration and you could feel that with Logan. It was pretty much an instant attraction for him and Salinas definitely expresses that.

After escaping her past Harper has worked hard for her new beginning however she knows that maintaining a low profile is a must as the consequences could be dire. She loves her job as the vet clinic, but she lets very few people close to her until they prove they can be trusted. She is attracted to her sexy neighbor Logan, but she knows it is in her best interest to stay away.

Logan is very attracted to his neighbor, but he knows that he should keep his distance as a woman like Harper would never be interested in a man like him once she found out about his past.

When circumstances lead Harper to Logan he is determined to show Harper that they are meant to be together. He is willing to be patient and give her time to know that he can be trusted but he is not about to just let her walk away.

These two are perfect together and with her son make the perfect family. They are real people with fears and insecurities but the obstacles in life have any only made them stronger. The narrators were the perfect choice to bring the characters, emotion and suspense of the story to life. 🎧Audiobook Obsession

What a tense beginning that grabs you from the start. This is such an emotional rollercoaster, sometimes I laughed loudly other times I was clinging on to the edge of my seat in suspense. The characters are well written and super sexy. Whilst the narrators' voices brilliantly suit the main characters I did start to find Lizzy's whine a little irritating but, it did not detract from the story.
