About this listen
A married airline pilot is found dead in his London flat, surrounded by shards of glass and the shattered remains of a champagne bottle. But who was the man seen with the pilot on the concourse of Heathrow airport?
Private investigator Billy Rucker joins the case at the request of the pilot's brother, a well-known Tory MP. For Rucker it's the start of a long lonely trail through the city, clutching a grainy black and white photo and a gnawing suspicion in the pit of his stomach....

Good Story But Slow
Would you try another book written by Adam Baron or narrated by Gordon Griffin?
Yes, I would, just to see if the slow pace was just a one-off for this story.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
Didn't see it coming but still, a little disappointing. Wanted a big reveal. Didn't get it.
Which character – as performed by Gordon Griffin – was your favourite?
The MP
Could you see Shut Eye being made into a movie or a TV series? Who would the stars be?
not really
Any additional comments?
For the story as it is it could have been shorter.

A good story, interesting & believable characters.
These books featuring ex-cop private detective Billy Rucker were new to me - this is the first in the series and I really enjoyed it.
Gordon Griffin's narration was excellent.
Set in and around London it held my interest for the whole book and I will definitely be getting the later books in the series.

not my usual genre, but I really enjoyed this one
Not the sorry of story I would choose, but I felt enjoyed this one. the narrator was perfect for the story and gives a great performance without going overboard.

Base filth and foul language.
What sort of mind can gleefully conjure up such a load of base filth and foul language , we are assailed with intestines , genitals , vomit , gore and copious amounts of blood as well as some of the worst of foul language . It’s a reflection of mind that is undeveloped and one that exists at a low level . I understand that narrators are professionals and are paid for what they do but one must be very needy to read this base trash .
