About this listen

A world he had sacrificed so much to create.

A realm his enemies would do anything to destroy.

Alex had done it. Ascending farther than anyone had thought possible, earning a title as sacred as the right to rule within the Golden Realms.

But there was no way his enemies would accept his ascension. Not after he had disrupted so many of their twisted plans.

Not even retreating to his own pocket realm while offering sanctuary to hundreds of desperate cultivators was enough to stop an invading army from doing all they could to find his world and claim it for themselves while destroying anyone and anything that stood in their way.

And that was a fate Alex refused to accept.

He would do whatever it took to keep his sanctuary safe and his people free.

Even if it meant facing down an entire army of elite cultivators determined to claim the bounty on his head!

Thank you!

So happy this came out on audio feels like I have been waiting for ages maybe a few things had a bit to much detail but tbh in a 40+ hour audio it’s easy to overlook I loved the progression and I loved the combat and sweet sweet pay back to so many I look forward to the next. Please keep up the good work to both author and narrators

i love thes books but

the author has finally gone to far with the descriptive text of every action, the stort gets lost to describing in stupid detail every action, its too much, im literaly skipping huge amounts of the story being described in crazy amounts just to hear the actual story, i really wish it would stop to such crazy degrees its ruining the joy of a great story

to much shouting during narration,

why must everything be shouted....if I met someone who spoke this way in real life I would have to leave the vicinity.if my neighbour spoke like this I would call the police with a noise complaint. which is annoying as when he doesn't shout the narration is great.just use the shouting more sparingly and the score would be an easy 5 stars...I think he may record whilst on the loo as he sounds like he is straining quite often.

Repetative drivel

Lots and lots and lots of repeating stuff youev were already aware of 1 min ago, interspersed with joe bidden esq ramblings off into a totally different direction because reasons.

Honestly if you want a hero fight where he is constantly about to die but then pulls a save at the last possible second again cause reasons, this is the book for you. And not just once but a bazzilion times throughout, gets old very fast.

Oh and even the voice actor tried to make it more bearable with louder voice mode. Which btw is fecking annoying having to increase volume for the whisper parts vs the Im NOW IN ACTION MODE, LISTEN TO ME ROAR.

Which is sad given it was a good story up to a point.

But when you sit there thinking shut up and get to the point, you can tell how much of a rough draft of rambling spewfest you have signed up for.

Too much

I don't remember ever screaming out loud in frustration over a book, but this was what I did several times.

The over the top descriptions and almost psychotic use of adjectives reached new heights this time.

Sometimes it truly feels like listening to the insane ravings af a mental patient on a caffeine high. Not knowing what was going on or when and where "we" where at.

I listened to this at 1.75 speed, even going up to 3.00 at times (which is insane and a first), but even so this was far too dragged out.

I doubt I will listen to the next one. Not if it's this long.

Gave it 2 stars purely because I actually managed to finish it, otherwise it would have been a 1. Narration is good, but an acquired taste... though I think it fits the series.

This last iteration is just too much bull...rush.
