Summary
Simon Emerson is a regular, suburban, out-of-work 30-something guy. But then he is mortally injured in a terrorist bombing on the London Underground. Afterward, he discovers he has superhuman abilities. Simon quickly transforms from a nobody to the most powerful person on the planet.
Forced to navigate life with his newfound powers, he discovers the police investigating the attack are suspicious of him, but that is the least of his worries. Simon’s most significant challenge lies ahead. He’s not the only one with incredible abilities. Simon has questions, and his search for answers takes him across the globe to find the mysterious man who gave him his powers.
The Underground terrorist is still on the loose and Simon must learn to control his powers fast before his greatest power becomes his greatest weakness.

Unique story.
A fast-paced, unique story with lots of action and adventure, very well narrated by Steve Field.

Quirky and fun story
Enjoyable romp about an accidental super-hero. Nice concept and pretty well written (odd parts felt like a little tidy up edit would add polish) and nice surprise to hear places mentioned around Bedfordshire about 5 miles from my home town!

A different and brilliant superhero story
Simon is just an ordinary guy. On his way home from an interview he gets caught up in a terrorist bombing on the London Underground, but survives and manages to rescue some of the passengers before the roof caves in on top of him putting him in a coma.
Much to his wife Vasia's relief, he wakes up and soon discovers that he has superpowers. He has visions of terrible events before they occur and any wounds he endures heal quickly.
Join Simon as he tries to discover what has happened to him, whilst trying to escape from mysterious enemies. What other disasters lie in wait? Can he can stop them in time?
An excellent listen for superhero lovers and I loved the narration, Field's voice really matched the mood of the story and I hope he'll narrate the next audiobooks in the series.

Very Good.
This is an interesting story told in an unusual way, it is kinda in the second person. Telling the story of Simon who is injured in a terrorist attack he becomes a super hero of kinds and has to learn to control his powers before they destroy him. Narration is very good and brings the story to life.
I was kindly given a copy of the book by the author and leave this honest review.

Superhero
A different take on the superhero genre with an average guy, Simon, gaining and learning to use his super powers while faced with a deadly enemy. Well written, great story and nicely narrated.

slow burner
Disappointed with the unnecessary sex scenes that added nothing to the story, and weren't in the style of the rest of the story. The story when it eventually got going was action packed and enjoyable.
