About this listen
Two chance encounters. One great love.
While everyone around Carmello Caldo found love, he was busy losing himself in pleasure and pain. But when his cousin Lily wants to help him find true love, he doesn’t hesitate to accept her offer.
Arlo King is not Carmello’s usual type. She’s a bookworm who doesn’t give herself away easy. But she’s the perfect woman to help reform the serial womanizer, even though she has commitment issues of her own.
Quickly, their fake relationship goes from slow-burn to scorching hot from the very first touch. But can they work through their trouble pasts and embrace a fairy tale future?

Fabulously Delightful! Awesome Story & Narration🎧
I loved these two characters, Carmello “Mello” Caldo and Arlo King and their story. I have said it before and will say it again: there has not been a Gallo or Caldo that I have not liked, that is because Chelle Bliss makes it so easy to fall in love with every single one. She created a beautiful tight knit family, one you wished you were a member, despite the nosy parents and siblings, because you know they have each other’s back no matter what. And it is family that comes into play to set these two on path to romance. Mello has been a love them and leave them type of player, he had no interest in falling in love or setting down. But seeing everyone else around him finding their significant others falling in love does not seem so bad. He just needs to find that special someone and Lilly has said person in mind, someone Mello has met in the past, someone he felt a connection with but knew she was not the one night stand type of girl. Arlo King has not had the easiest of lives or the best experience with men. When she first me Mello she was not in a good place, then he rescues her and her car, taking it to Mammoth & Tamara’s garage. That was the last he saw of her until Lily suggested he work with her friend for a test relationship, to see if he was capable of one. Mello was surprised to find out who her friend was. Arlo agreed to help Mello because he helped her. This fake start turns into something so much more. It was great to hear more about Mello and Arlo, I thought these two were great together and for each other. We see a different side to Mello, one even he never thought he had. Singe is a slow burn romance, the story is beautifully plotted and contains a lot of heart, a fair amount of drama, low angst, and some wonderful humor you expect from the Gallos, the group texting was one of my favorites. Chelle Bliss, thank you for another fabulously delightful novel, I am looking forward to what comes next in this series.
🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Connor Crais and Samantha Brentmoor are the perfect cast to bring these characters to life. They gave each character their own distinct voice, making it easy to follow along and tell who is who. They had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, took each role and made it their own, sounding believable and just as I pictured them to sound. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they capture the characters’ emotions and project them into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen.

Beautiful Romance
If your looking for a read or listen with highs, lows or plot twists this isn’t for you however if your after a romance that blooms like a beautiful flower then this is it. It was nice to see both characters unfold and learn about each other in such a sweet way. Carmello’s character is such a gentleman and I can see traits in him from his uncles characters, overall I really enjoyed this read / listen.
I must applaud Connor Crais for his multiple voices for all the characters involved in this book, he’s done a marvelous job. Be aware if you are a Samantha Brentmoor fan she is not heard until the end.

A Smile a Minute and a FANTASTIC Narration
This book, following Carmello and Arlo is so funny. I loved the interaction between Carmello and his extended family- the text chains alone made me snort in laughter and then just seeing how Carmello went from a player of epic proportions to so dedicated to Arlo was swoon worthy. As a reader gets more and more into each of the series written by Chelle Bliss, the characters truly do become like family because these characters are written to be so heartfelt, loyal and honorable to each other. I am so invested in the happiness of these characters and their family.
As for this book, Carmello is a player but he's realizing that it may be time to settle down. His cousin sets him up with Arlo, who Carmello has actually met a couple of times before, when he was playing the knight in shining armor. But this time, the timing is right and he just couldn't let her go. But can he be what she needs him to be?
The characters are absolutely sweet and while Carmello has a definite bad boy streak, his actions towards Arlo are so charming and engaging that you're rooting for him to man up. Arlo is innocent yet tough, not putting up with any bad behavior which is great (and what Mello needs!). Watching them fall in love and having his family provide often colorful and always hilarious commentary brought a lasting smile to my face.
I first read the ebook and then listened to the audiobook and the audiobook elevates the story. The narration by Connor Crais (now one of my favorites) and Samantha Brentmoor is so good! Perfectly cast, I love these two narrators’ voices for these characters. So good!

Book 8
I love this family. I feel like it took a little long for the connection between Carmello and Arlo to come through. The banter between the cousins were spot on and very entertaining even though sometimes I was like “give him a break, he is trying!”. I do feel like the men are a little soft in these last couple of books. At the beginning of the series they were more like bad biker dudes. Now they talk about their feelings and marriage a lot. They are still typical guys but softer. There was to much marriage talk to soon in this book. Fran and Bear crack me up in this book. There are a hand full of twists that I didn’t see coming in this book. I can’t wait for the next book to come out. No cliffhangers. The narration was great. I definitely recommend this book/series. 🎧 audiobook Obsession

Another fabulous read
I am so loving these Gallo's, this is Carmello Gallo and his chance to find love with Arlo King.
Connor and Samantha have done a wonderful job at narrating this story, I also had the benefit of whysper sync, so I could switch, though to be honest I loved Connor's voice more than my own so I tended to close my eyes and listen.

Loved it but....
As a fan of this heat wave series I had high expectations going into Carmello's story.
The book is called singe but compared to all the other books in the series it had a whole lot less burn and way more sweet. That's not a bad thing. Sometimes slow burn is even better.
Carmello was less a dominant alpha and more sweet boyfriend. It paired well with Arlo who was a bit evasive and scared. They saved each other in the best way.
I did have mixed feelings about the extended family in this one though. They had no support for Carmello all their support was directed at Arlo. I found myself feeling sorry for Carmello and wanting to champion for him. No one had his back not even his twin. Luckily he found this unwavering support in Arlo and it made for a happy ending with Nonna's help.
As always the narration was fantastic. Connor and Samantha did a great job bringing Carmello and Arlo to life.
