Después de haber disfrutado enormemente de su obra "El tiempo entre costuras" dudé mucho antes de adquirir esta nueva novela (en audio) sobre las peripecias de su protagonista, pues soy una firme creedora de que “nunca segundas partes fueron buenas”. Me equivoqué, esta continuación de la vida de Sira plagada de aventuras, satisfacciones y sinsabores, aciertos y errores, personajes variopintos a cuál más interesante es tan buena o incluso mejor que “El tiempo entre costuras”. Magníficamente escrita, María Dueñas es una autora brillante, genial. Es muy de agradecer la investigación en profundidad que es obvio lleva a cabo sobre todos los temas que toca pues sirve para que el lector aprenda al mismo tiempo que disfruta enormemente con el relato. Dueñas sabe mezclar realidad y ficción magistralmente quedando perfectamente claro cuál es la una y cual la otra. Me gustó mucho la narradora y le agradezco de todo corazón que al interpretar los papeles masculinos no intentara poner voz de hombre como hacen tantas otras desmereciendo así, a mi gusto, el relato.

Espero y anhelo que haya una tercera parte y en ese caso estaré en primera fila para hacerme con ella.


After having greatly enjoyed his work "El tiempo entre costuras" I hesitated a lot before acquiring this new novel (in audio) about the adventures of its protagonist, because I am a firm believer that sequels are hardly ever any good. I was wrong, this continuation of Sira's life full of adventures, satisfactions and disappointments, successes and errors, colorful characters all as interesting as the others is as good or even better than "El tiempo entre costuras" Magnificently written, María Dueñas is a brilliant author and even a great one. The in-depth research that she obviously carries out on all the topics she touches on is very appreciated, as it helps the reader to learn at the same time to greatly enjoys the story. Dueñas knows how to mix reality and fiction masterfully, making it perfectly clear which is one and which is the other. I really liked the narrator and I thank her with all my heart that when she interpreted the male roles she did not try to put on a male voice as so many others do, thus detracting, to my liking, from the story. I hope and hope that there will be a third part and in that case I will be more than eager to get it.

Yo he preferido el primer libro, este esta bien y lo he disfrutado pero creo que la historia ha perdido fuerza. Esta bien escrita y bien narrada. La recomiendo pero la primera dejo el listón muy alto
