Every August thousands of tourists and performers flood into Edinburgh for its famous festival. But this year, on the very first day, an explosion rocks Princes Street, and a man is killed. No! Never again. Anyone who loves himself as much as the smug self-satisfied Skinner has absolutely turned me off the character, the flaws of the plot and his amazing powers."Skinner looked back and thought he'd done very well" Smirk smirk! Ugh!How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Jardine can write, maybe he just loves his character, but boy Skinner is as shallow as it comes.Skinner absolutely loves himself.

I was not sure about the first book in series Skinners Rules (see addition comments), but I thought I would give the second book a go, but it made me realise I would not read another one.Has Skinner's Festival put you off other books in this genre?

Without trying to spoil the plot, there is probably the biggest ongoing terrorist attack Scotland has ever seen, but Skinner manages to have sex on a beach, sex at home twice, still have evenings off. I was a bit concerned in the first book when I was told the size of his male member (WHY DO I NEED TO KNOW THIS!!) Skinner is just too perfect, or maybe I am just jealous, it just all stretched reality a little too far.Skinner's Folly
