Summary
Clarice Bean is back with all her trademark humour in this heartwarming story by former Children’s Laureate Lauren Child
At the moment I am daydreaming about inventing something exceptionordinarily good that could change the world for the better, because of all the things, it’s the better that’s needed.
And if you are thinking I'm too small to make a difference then remember the plankton – they are one of the tiniest creatures on the planet but without them where would we be? Probably living on Mars.
The utterly wonderful Clarice Bean is thinking about the endangered things: the big creatures, the little creatures, the plants and the trees. But it’s not just the planet that needs help – there’s her whole family too . . .

The Whale Shark and the Plankton
A fantastic book with an inspiring story line. I have loved Clarice Bean without doubt for so long and for anyone out there who would like someone or something to brighten their day, then I would really recommend listening to Clarice Bean or the Ruby Redfort series (also one of Lauren's fabulous inventions). I love this whole book and it just me smile 🙂 but that's the point, isn't it? So smile.

Great to hear more about CB.
Another lovely glimpse into the life of CBT. The author has such a great way of seeing the world through the eyes of a child. The story did not flow as the others did and there was more of a sense of urgency to try to get important environmental messages across but important topics were raised that could then be discussed further with children. Missed Claire Skinner's voice - another great book for kids and adults to enjoy. Thank you.
