Summary
Hughes Farm was the largest racing-horse establishment in the South. The family that owned it was known to be wealthy, powerful, arrogant, and terrifying. My first encounter with them didn’t prepare me for all that was to come. I don’t think anything truly could have.
Growing up with only my father and brother hadn’t been easy, but we’d had each other. Losing them was the hardest thing I’d ever faced. It had made the times we went without food, electricity, or even shelter seem insignificant in comparison.
It's when a woman, claiming to have been my mother’s best friend, arrives to take me home with her that questions begin to surface. My father had rarely spoken of my mother. She’d died when I was a toddler. Having no other option, I trust this stranger and am thrown into a world of mansions, racing horses, extravagance, and him.
It’s true that there's a thin line between love and hate. But there's an even thinner line between truth and lies.

New Mafia story - Abbi blew it out of the park!
Got to admit I am an Abbi fan and have read all her books and been there since the beginning! She is an awesome author.
The whole story had me gripped from the start and hearing Blaise and Maddy's voices come alive was amazing and I can't wait for next audible story in the series. Maddy is an orphan who is taken in by her mum's best friend. She was poor and they are uber rich! Maddy has so many struggles to get over but appreciates the support until she can get on her feet! Very quickly Maddy is the focus of the men at the ranch. I do not want to spoil the story but boy I loved the way Maddy fell for the bad boy and boy is he bad! Again, not Abbi’s usual style. I just hope it works out for them. I cannot recommend this book enough and the beauty is the sequels are going to be coming May and June! (And maybe keep coming eh Abbi??)
We are also introduced to many new interesting characters so I cannot wait to hear more about them!
Rush has always been my favourite ever character Abbi created but Blaise is up there! I cannot wait for next story to hear whats happens to Blaise and Maddy.
Bravo Abbi – I wish I could give you more stars than 5 Stars!
