I liked the variety and the many horror subgenres depicted in this collection, so believe me when I say ‘there is something for everyone’, because it’s true!
I loved how subtly some of the stories bring the horror and the terror, so that the reader awaits in that excited state, ready to bounce at any second due to expecting something terrible. And when the horror comes, it’s never as expected!
As I mentioned, I liked all the stories, although the ones I loved are those where the real horror is inside the mind and where the lines between the reality and the constructions of the mind are so thin that are imperceptible.
Having never read anything from this author, this was a great way to know their writing and style, and I’m hooked!
Thanks to the author and Velox Books for the opportunity to listen to it and this is my honest opinion.
