Thank the God's. More of the Same...
Having read The Genesis Fleet, The Lost Fleet, The Lost Star's and The Lost Fleet Beyond the Star's. This is what started it all. Yes Mr 'Campbell' has something to say about his work and frankly I hope he wasn't tempted to tweak his original story. I see a few comments on performance, monochrome narrative, bad story. But hey this is he FIRST attempt. I can't believe anyone could do better. I know I certainly couldn't, lmao. all I can say is "If you can't listen to it, Get the Book & READ IT... lol
Either way I did enjoy the book quite frankly I don't care if anyone else doesn't. Now leave me alone to start book 2...

Values, Valor, honour, history Rhymes
A sci fi essay on the pitfalls of bloated corrupt leadership and the establishment of a new colony to fight tyranny. I have listened to this series 3 times now.

Good idea poor performance
Like the ideas and the flow of the book. The performance is very very bad. A monotone droll, with little if any change for the people.

Jack Campbell is brilliant
I can't get enough of Stark, the Lost fleet or the lost stars. Mr Hemery is just brilliant.
Sadly, the robotic rendition of the Stark series is unforgivable. so hard to listen to.

Brilliant tail
as the author notes this is a cautionary tail on a number of levels and reality taken to the edge of believability.. but not quite past. somewhere in the multiverse I can see this happening as all it will take is too few good men and women staying quiet or nor beeing listened to. when generals (or executives) s stop listening to sgts or supervisors on the ground it starts a cycle that rarely ends well. managers and officers are important but you should never lose sight of the how.

The Lost Fleet Alpha version
The main character is basically the same as the lost fleet, smartest guy in the room with idiots above him in command.
Except this book has none of the camp siillyness and over the topness of the lost fleet which made it fun. It’s over the top macho and takes itself entirely too seriously, The story and the characters are just shallow and bland.
Decent narration though.

starks war
It's a very interesting and entertaining story built around a really original and believable idea. The charactors believable and you want to learn more about them and what's happening to them and the writer hold that interest all the way through.
