I'm not a great fan of first-person present tense storytelling, for a start, not many authors can pull it off. But boy the author did it real justice in this series.

I stuck with my initial oh first person push back and I'm glad I did. Before too long I was sucked into another great story, well executed by the narrator.

Another page-turning, action-packed, meaningful relationships and loss, sci fi space opera. And the twist in the last book was outstanding and although I had an inkling we might end up there it was still a whoop out loud moment.

Honestly if you love sci fi, great storytelling and solid voice narration you're in for a treat.

This book/series tries out some interesting ideas, and they definitely worked for me. The narrator does a great job as well, so definitely worth a listen if you like this sort of genre.

Found the narration to be bland and too many characters sounded the same. Story also didn't really grip me, I think I found it a bit corny. Sorry to fans of the series, just my opinion.

An enjoyable read with some good characters and an exciting plot. Against impossible odds, one man can prevail. But nothing is as it seems and you are drawn into deeper mysteries as the books develop.

I was looking for a long book to get me through my 2hrs a day commute for a month and was just hoping the story would be good enough to keep my interest going. I couldn't be happier with my choice, the story was fast moving and full of action and it got me through a full month of commuting and for once I looked forward to the journey to carry on with the action.
