Interesting but hard going...

The story of Steve Jobs live is extremely interesting and he was a highly important person to the modern world but the problem is the narration is bad and the style of writing is terrible. The author repeats things over and over and I found myself wanting to scream "I know that already..." on many occasions. On the plus side the author was given exclusive access to lots of people and information so you know you are getting as close to the trust as is possible. If you are interested in Steve, Apple and/or Pixar it is worth listening to, but be warned it will be hard going...

Great book!!

Loved it! A great performance and level of details by Isaacson. Even though I didn't really like Steve Jobs, the book made me appreciate his genius ability to create great peoducts. Definitely recommended.

Must read

Entertaining and revealing, a complex character. Brilliant and flawed at the same time, so much packed in a life.

Inspiring

A really inspiring story. I thought it would just be about his life and not much else but it really dives into his history with Apple and his journey through the company including all the ups and downs. I have just finished the book and I can honestly say I feel a bit more fearless with what I say. I definitely would agree that stories about Steve that have recently come to light should be taken lightly because you can see why he may have acted this way. A truly inspiring book. Loved every second. A bit sad there is not much more to this.

Creative genius Steve Jobs

I loved this biography about Jobs! There was so much more to this great visionary and trend setter than meets the eye. I had developed love hate relationship towards him throughout this book and many times wanted to tell him to behave. especially when there was moments of yelling at people and throwing tantrums. The interesting question would be, who would Steve Jobs become if he didn't have his traits? if he didn't have reality distortion field? Would Apple be even born? and what about Pixar?
Great story telling ability of Issacson make this book a real page turner and hard to put it down. Jobs minimalism view of design and products made me look at the world around me with a new view - how can we improve these products to be more user friendly? I feel this a book I will be returning to times and over again for creative inspiration and advice from greatest creative genius that ever lived.

Well worth your credit!

Wow what a book. Great story. Well told. This is well worth a listen. Even though it’s a very long book, it felt really easy to listen to.

one of my favourite books ever

It took me a very long time to get round to reading this book. I was intimidated by the 27 hour commitment and thought I knew everything I needed to know about Steve Jobs having been one of my heroes for the last 15 years.
Water Isaacson has cinematically captured the stories of his life and immerses the Listner his world and personality; far better than the Hollywood films.
I love a guy even more after this and while he could Inflict pain on the people around him and his family (both intentionally or through neglect) what he stood for is one of the most amazing legacies of any person I’ve come across in all of modern history.

I’d be surprised if you didn’t take away some powerful new perspectives and ways of thinking from this book.
