About this listen
Welcome to Cold, Montana, where the town is smaller than a shoebox and their biggest claim to fame is a serial killer.
It's a case that ended in a tragic set of events, and one the town would rather forget.
But no one can turn tragedy sexy like Hollywood, and whether Levi Fox, one of investigators on the real case, likes it or not, the dazzle of ready, set, action is coming to Cold.
Worse than that? His Captain agreed to make him the lead liaison for any and all information about his former partner Grace Murphy.
But Hollywood doesn't know all of the details of the real case, and Levi Fox vows to take them to the grave.
Only he and the killer know the truth.
Contains mature themes.

I liked it
So this is a review of the whole trilogy.
First book is a basic CR with a hollywood movie star and a drunken cop who finds romance during a difficult situation. She's filming a movie about a "true crime" and plays the felled heroine and the cop she falls is intimately connected.
Book 2 is the classic romantic push-pull with a tragic twist at the end.
Book 3 is the HEA
Overall I liked the overall story across the trilogy. Its not reinventing the wheel but delivers a well written addition to the trope.

Max Monroe is safe
I've tried a few new authors recently, searching through the plus catalogue. I've been disappointed, but if I see Max Monroe's name, I know it's going to be a good story with engaging dialogue and relatable characters. Thanks Max.

A departure
This book is different from the other Max Monroe books I’ve listened to. There’s a mystery in the background that makes the story deeper and more satisfying.
I enjoy their other books too, but the change in formula brings added dimension and interest.
