Very readable & entertaining

No. Can't see the point

Characters were well developed. The story line was interesting. Well written. I'll look for other books by Lucy Diamond.

Comfortable, predictable Aga saga
It's fine. Light reading... Trials and travails of family relationships. Nothing challenging, nothing offensive. A reasonable way to pass a few hours.

Engrossing
This was not at all my type of book. Can't even remember why I got it. However, I quite enjoyed it, to the point of listening to almost a whole day toward the end. Numerous strands to the whole which came together well.

Lovely summery read
I'm a big fan of Lucy Diamond and Summer at Shell Cottage did not disappoint. Her novels are like a warm literary hug.
The characters were engaging and real and there were even a few 'no way!' moments skilfully woven in.
If you're looking for a summery, light hearted, engaging listen - give it a go.

Great story
I really enjoyed this audio book, many happy hours spent and you never quite knew what surprises was to come in the next chapter

Really rather lovely
A well-written and well-narrated book, which had me hooked from beginning to end. I cared about the characters, and was surprised by the (gentle) twists. I will miss their company on my commute.

Quite Boring
Stated off with quite a good story line. But half way through it was becoming repetitive and eventually fast forward it to the end .

Nice summer holiday book
What did you like best about Summer at Shell Cottage? What did you like least?
I really didn't think I was going to listen to all of this as didn't really have any interest in any of the characters in the book initially, but the narrator's voice was lovely and I was in a holiday mode so carried on and I'm glad I did. It got a lot better in the second half and while it's not going on my 'wow' list I did enjoy it as a light summer book...
